This website aims to talk more about our plans for the former Royal Mail depot on Caversham Road. Currently being used as a temporary base by Network Rail, the site has the potential to deliver a whole host of new homes, employment spaces and community facilities in the heart of Reading.

A planning application will be submitted late 2018 / early 2019 and aims to set the framework for delivering a new neighbourhood on this central brownfield site. The land had planning permission in 2012 for a high rise mixed-use scheme, which has since lapsed. Regeneration of the site will create, and open up, a vibrant space to the north side of the station, for people to live and work.

Should the proposals be granted permission next year, development would likely start on site towards the end of 2019 and would take around 5 years to deliver over three phases – starting closest to the station entrance.
